This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. * Operate excavators and loaders to move, load, and transport waste materials at various sites * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements * Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance * Follow site plans and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. * Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment * Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations * Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any issues encountered * Assist in site clean-up and organization as needed What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, preferably in the waste management or construction industry * Strong knowledge of excavator and loader operation, maintenance, and safety procedures * Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment * Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment * Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
