Would you like to participate in a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ project that will protect Calgary and its communities?
We are looking for HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS - GPS DOZER to join our team and build the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, 15km west of Calgary. The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir will provide flood protection along the Elbow River in Calgary and other downstream communities.

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with GPS (Trimble or Top-Con) is preferred
  • Experience working on slopes that are 3:1 or steeper
  • Previous dam construction experience is considered as an asset
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
  • Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
