We are currently seeking to hire a Material Handler/Excavator Operator that possesses our same values. Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler Operator Operate material handler (excavator) with grapple, magnet and/or shear to move, manage and organize metals. Appropriately identify, handle, sort and process materials. Load and unload trucks with metals in a safe manner with excavator. Customer service. Perform the staging and inspection of materials. Report non-conforming materials. Assist with organization of steel yard and make space for new product daily. Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating. Skills and Experience Ability to accurately, efficiently and safely operate excavator/material handler. Good communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in scrap metals and/or demoliton is a plus. Responsibilities
The Material Handler/Excavator Operator will operate an excavator to manage and organize metals, load and unload trucks safely, and assist with the organization of the steel yard. They will also perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on the equipment.
