POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently hiring a Hi-Rail Hiab Operator who has held, or currently holds CROR qualification to support our ongoing work at stunning remote locations throughout Northwestern Ontario. This role involves operating a Hy-Tracker-equipped hi-rail Hiab on active rail lines and assisting with rail-related geotechnical construction.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

-Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract (Class 1/AZ or 3/DZ preferred).

PROVEN EXPERIENCE OPERATING:

-Hi-Rail Trucks (with Hiab crane)
-Backhoes (rail-equipped an asset)
-CROR training/certification (current or previous) – mandatory.
-eRail Safe certification (or ability to obtain, includes background check).
-Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
-Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
-Experience in railway or heavy civil construction considered an asset.

Responsibilities

-Safely operate a 10-ton Hi-Rail Hiab Truck (Air Brake equipped) on both highway and rail lines.
-Operate a Hi-Rail Backhoe for trackside and project support.
-Provide equipment support to rope access rock scaling crews.
-Conduct daily inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition.
-Adhere to company and client HSE policies, CROR rules, and rail safety standards at all times.
-Work collaboratively with supervisors and rope access technicians to meet project schedules.
-Complete required reporting, documentation, and safety checklists.
