HIRING EXPERIENCED TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEERS - HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT FOR OUR MCCOY CONSTRUCTION AND FORESTRY DEALERSHIP IN KNOXVILLE, TN

Apex Technologies, an affiliate of McCoy Construction and Forestry – a prominent John Deere dealership group spanning 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central Regions – is seeking a Technology Territory Manager.
The Technology Support Engineer is responsible for the after-sale performance and technical support of all SmartGradeTM and integrated grade control equipped machines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 4 yr Degree is not required, its recommended, in an Engineering/Technology/Marketing discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5 years preferred of Topcon Machine Control and Construction experience
  • Experience with construction layout using GNSS or Robotic Total Stations. Knowledge of site blueprints, grade stakes, and construction workflows
  • Familiarity with Topcon, Trimble, and/or Lecia technologies
  • Enthusiasm for technology and heavy equipment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to execute training in small group or one on one settings
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory (Up to 75%

Responsibilities
  • Support construction sites for automated machine control and construction layout
  • Support, diagnose and repair SmartGradeTM and related grade control issues.
  • Communicate effectively with John Deere, General Manager and Territory Managers in your respective area to promote, demo train and sell SmartGradeTM machines.
  • Complete and maintain all OEM and government certifications expected or required.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
