JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues with machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The Equipment Technician will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service to our customers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a dealership setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with Caterpillar machinery and other industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.
  • Experience with assembly processes and electrical systems is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address client concerns and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and demonstration purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
