JOB SUMMARY:

Valcon Ltd. is seeking a hands-on, versatile Heavy Equipment technician to work in our shop, responsible for routine maintenance, light repair work, and welding on trucks and construction equipment. This role supports the overall reliability of our fleet by performing basic mechanical tasks and assisting licensed mechanics when complex repairs are required. The ideal candidate will have both mechanical and welding experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in heavy equipment or truck maintenance and welding.
• Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic tools, welders, and shop equipment
• Welding experience required (MIG or Stick preferred: ticket not required, not an asset).
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brakes, and diesel engines is an asset
• Ability to work independently and follow safe work practices
• Valid driver’s licence (Class 5 Minimum): Class 1 is an asset

  Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 50 per week
