Prairie North Group Ltd. is recruiting for the role of a qualified and safety focused full time tractor and winch tractor operator to operate a Kenworth T800 tri-axle winch truck, lowboys, hiboys, scissor necks, and wheelers (with or without jeep and/or booster).
This role will report to the corporate Equipment Manager. The candidate will be based out of our shop in Acheson, hauling heavy construction equipment to the various construction locations throughout western Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must possess a valid class 1 driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract (5 year commercial).
· 5 Years previous experience hauling equipment, as well as operating a wide variety of equipment (inc. rock trucks, dozers, excavators, scrapers, packers, graders, etc.). This includes oversized, overweight hauling.
· Knowledgeable in NSC cargo securement, pre-trip inspection, and hours of service (HOS) rules.
· Knowledgeable in provincial weights and dimensions requirements as well as permitting.
· Experience with (federal) hours-of-service (HOS) tracking via electronic logging devices (ELD)
· Ability to incorporate health and safety concepts into work activities.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
· Have good communication skills and an ability to work as a team.
· Dependable with a strong track record of reliability and punctuality.
· Proficient in English language.
· Valid certifications are an asset (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS, CSO, etc.)

· Transportation of heavy equipment to various field construction locations to support their operations.

· Assemble and operate multi-axle trailer combinations.
