POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is based at ADL’s cheese plant in Summerside, where our team transforms 100% PEI milk into trusted, high-quality cheese products. As part of the production crew, you’ll help keep things running smoothly by supporting daily operations in a variety of work areas. That might include preparing cheese, assisting with packaging, cleaning equipment, or handling materials—depending on where support is needed most. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in doing careful, consistent work in a clean, safety-focused environment. The role is hands-on and active, with opportunities to learn different parts of the production process through cross-training.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically prepared for production work — including frequent lifting (up to 70 lbs), extended standing, and working in warm, humid conditions
• Communicates clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors to support safe operations, proper material handling, and adherence to food safety protocols
• Follows procedures exactly as required — every task performed with care, accuracy, and a clear understanding of its impact on product quality and team safety
• Dependable and accountable — consistently present, properly equipped, and focused from start to finish
• Adaptable across production areas — able to transition between departments and respond to changing operational needs
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment — tools, equipment, and materials are handled properly at all times
• Previous experience in food production or physical labour is an asset
• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Contribute to daily operations across various production areas (cheese room, packaging, tray washing, brine room, etc.)
• Help with handling, packaging, labeling, and staging of cheese products
