Visit our website at joneslakemanagement.com to read more about our history, family of brands, services and expertise.   Savin Lake Services, a Jones Lake Management partner, located in Hale, MI is seeking a highly motivated Dredge Operator. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player that will bring a strong sense of initiative to our production teams.  Experience with dredging and/or heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required. This job operates in the field and out of our office in Hale, MI.   Dredge Operator Key Responsibilities: * Operate dredge equipment to remove sediment, silt, or debris from waterways as directed. * Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and work area before beginning operations. * Monitor gauges, depth indicators, and material flow to ensure safe and efficient dredging operations. * Maintain communication with crew members and supervisors to coordinate operations. * Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations. * Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. * Assist in set-up, breakdown, and relocation of dredge equipment. * Perform light maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of dredge equipment. * Maintain accurate daily logs as needed, including hours, production, and safety observations. Qualifications: * Technical School or College Degree a plus * Prior experience operating dredging/heavy equipment (preferred but not required). * Strong commitment to safety and understanding of jobsite safety practices * Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. * Reliable transportation to and from work and punctual attendance. Company vehicles are provided to and from job sites. * Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Willingness to travel and work out-of-town as needed.
