Job Description Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and loaders. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Travel to other terminals within Texas and across the U.S. may be required. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Complete repairs in compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues. Operate shop equipment and collaborate with fellow mechanics and operations staff. Stay informed on new equipment technologies and maintenance practices. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. 3+ years of mechanic experience preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed. Must provide personal hand tools. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb, balance, crouch, and work at various heights. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and noisy environments.
