Local Freight is a progressive, family-owned transport company servicing Brisbane Metro and North Queensland. With a fleet of more than 80 trucks and trailers, we specialise in transporting a diverse range of general freight, including construction materials, fertilisers and other goods.

About the role

We are seeking 2 experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Drivers to join our local Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) team based at our Rocklea depot. These are casual positions offering full-time hours, with the opportunity to transition into permanent, long-term day-shift roles for the right candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Local deliveries across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and Toowoomba
• Multiple pick-ups and deliveries throughout the day
• Fork-on and fork-off operations, with some tailgate deliveries
• Monday to Friday work with starts at 6:00 am or earlier
• Minimum 38 hours per week, plus overtime

About you

• A current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or higher
• A strong understanding of load restraint requirements and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations
• Previous experience in a similar pick-up and delivery role (highly regarded)
• Good knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas
• A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
• A strong commitment to safety and customer service
