Description
The vacancy is opening only for citizens of Ukraine General responsibilities Transport people, goods and/or equipment in strict adherence to NPA internal security rules and respective Ukrainian laws. Consult with NPA security staff on conditions on the road. Ensure that goods are stored inside the vehicle according to local, international and NPA Ukraine safety standards. Be accountable for the cargo from loading to delivery. Participate in loading and unloading goods or supervise when done by external parties. Ensure that goods are secured during transportation in accordance with local, international and NPA Ukraine safety standards. Check assigned vehicle’s equipment, general functioning and condition and ensure that it is kept serviceable, fueled and clean as adequate. Check that trips have been authorized and are being tracked. Be rresponsible for looking after the allocated duty vehicle/s including all daily maintenance checks, mileage and fuel usage records and ensure regular and timely services are conducted. Maintain daily vehicle logs, provide inputs for preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and report accidents, mechanical failures and missing or damaged equipment by using NPA respective templates. Ensure that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents. Meet all NPA’s requirements as outlined in the NPA Vehicle Driving and Maintaining SOP. Be rresponsible for assisting in and performing fleet related duties as required by Line Manager. Regularly inspect truck and field office fleet to ensure that vehicles are in good working order and equipped according to NPA policy and local traffic regulation Other duties and tasks assigned by the Line Manager Specific duties Ensure vehicles are prepared daily for deployment including the necessary tool kits, communication and tracking checks. Be responsible for ensuring all passengers in the vehicle are wearing safety belts and that vehicle has functional fire extinguisher(s). Be responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and ready at all times. Ensure that the driving rules of the Government of Ukraine are adhered to. Report all accidents and incidents involving NPA’s equipment. Assist in preparation of monthly reports of fleet activities including the update of inventory Assist in collection and updates of files, logbooks and fuel records Collect and maintain vehicle history files, including detail of all servicing, repairs, logbooks and fuel records Keep track and initiate regular maintenance of assets and equipment Distribute goods, equipment and documents Qualifications: Education: High/secondary-school diploma Driving license B, C and E category Experience: Two or more years of experience in C+E category driving Previous work experience in insecure environments and able to work effectively under difficult conditions is desirable Experience with some simple fleet management is desirable Personal Competencies: Solid communication and interpersonal skills Systematic and organised in approach, including accuracy, consistency, and attention to details, tenacity, and the ability to work under pressure Basic knowledge of English is an asset Good knowledge of the terrain in the area of assignment Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn Ability to change a tire and carry out other minor repairs on the road Excellent health About the Recruitment Process We work continuously for more diversity and inclusion throughout Norwegian People's Aid.
