A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley, QLD. As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks! Benefits $49.21 an hour plus super Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About the role Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces parts Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates About you Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia As a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
