Working in state-of-the-art workshops equipped with the latest technology, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team servicing and maintaining a diverse fleet of military vehicles—including 4WDs, armoured tanks, trucks, tracked vehicles, and infantry personnel carriers. This role is based at the Moorebank, NSW Defence Base and offers free onsite parking, a supportive team culture, and attractive hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:45pm Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm What’s in it for you? We’re looking for someone who brings: Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent) A strong team mindset and commitment to promoting a positive HSE culture Hydraulics experience and/or relevant certifications (highly regarded) A current driver’s licence Please note: You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Primary Responsibilities Conduct scheduled servicing and vehicle inspections Diagnose and repair mechanical faults Deliver work to required standards within set timeframes Remove, overhaul, repair, and refit major assemblies including engines, transmissions, and differentials Service, tune, and test diesel, petrol, and gas-powered vehicles Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced components About the Contract Ventia is the Australian Defence Force’s trusted industry partner for the maintenance and repair of Army materiel, including artillery, small arms, night vision equipment, and all armoured vehicle fleets.
