Description

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a temporary HEDIS Medical Record Abstractor to support the Quality Improvement department from 8:00am-4:30pm on Monday through Friday. In this role, you will participate in the Health Plan Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) program, including data collection and medical record abstraction under tight time parameters. Experience with HEDIS data collection preferred. This temporary position is scheduled through April 2026. Responsibilities: - Participate in data collection. - Make computer data entries. - Responsible for medical record abstraction. - Perform functions in a timely and accurate manner. - Use of Electronic Medical Record systems, including Epic. - Bachelors' degree in a health care field or equivalent work experience preferred. - Prior healthcare experience is preferred. - Familiarity with medical records is preferred. - BSN or RN is preferred. - Health related Masters is preferred. - Professionalism, enthusiasm and initiative are expected. - Ability to work independently and as productive team member is essential.
