Job Summary:
This role is a tool used as a primary feeder to ultimately create licensed mechanics that have been trained and brought up with our culture and habits and have a true appreciation of the opportunity provided to them.

Here are the expectations:

  • Able to pass pre employment DOT FAA drug test and participate in mandatory random drug testing program throughout duration of employment.
  • Strong ability to comprehend technical instructions from supervisors and technical publications.
  • Work on ladders
  • Basic understanding of electricity, use of hand tools.
  • Wash, wax and clean helicopters on a daily basis
  • Perform general facilities maintenance.
  • Eager to learn and grow a passion for aviation
  • Self motivated to make becoming an licensed aircraft mechanic a primary goal (3-4 year process)
  • Work weekends
  • Work evenings

Duties:
- Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on aircraft, including inspecting and testing systems and components.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks on aircraft.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on aircraft.
- Use specialized tools and equipment, such as an ohmmeter, to perform maintenance tasks.
- Assemble and install aircraft components, such as avionics systems.
- Utilize computer-aided design software, such as CATIA, to create and modify aircraft designs.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and maintenance staff to complete tasks efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pilots and passengers.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- FAA certification or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
- Experience with aviate systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CATIA is preferred.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
