JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Technician to join our IT team for a 6-month in-office contractual position, with the possibility of extension. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates, current college students (co-op/intern), or individuals with a valid work permit who are passionate about technology and providing excellent user support. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues and gain valuable hands-on experience supporting a variety of hardware, software, and systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or currently enrolled).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and desktop hardware.
  • Ability to follow structured troubleshooting procedures.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira) is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Respond to service desk tickets, phone calls, and email requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Set up and maintain employee workstations, including hardware imaging and software deployment.
  • Assist with user account creation, password resets, and basic Active Directory administration.
  • Support VPN connectivity, remote access, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Document issue resolutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and support hardware lifecycle processes.
