Helpdesk IT Technical Support
We are looking for a forward thinking individual to join our close knit team. At AIT you are not just a number!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

37.5 hours per week – 52 weeks
Post: ICT Helpdesk Engineer
Responsible to: Senior Management
Location: NG10 1FT
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with our 1st & 3rd line technicians. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are a must. We require a minimum of 2 years hands on experience in a 1st line customer facing role. Any 2nd line experience would be advantageous. A valid Driver’s licence is required due to our network spanning multiple sites.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Installing IT hardware and software
  • Microsoft Operating systems (Windows 7 and above)
  • Windows Server Experience (2012 R2 and Above)
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, File permissions, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills (Hardware, Software, Networking - routing, switching)
  • Exchange, Office 365, PowerShell

NON ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Capita sims.net, server & client side
  • Veeam Backup
  • Apple products
  • Ubiquiti products
  • VOIP systems
  • Microsoft Azure
  • IP CCTV Systems and Door Access Control (Paxton)

QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING:

5 GCSE’s, including Mathematics and English at grade C or above
OR Professional IT equivalent qualification
