Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Clarke Maintenance Services is looking for a confident and capable Office Manager to lead our busy office and support the day-to-day running of our growing business.
You’ll be overseeing a small, tight-knit team of 8 staff, working closely with our Operations Manager and Director, and ensuring the smooth delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance works across our client base.
We’re looking for someone with experience in helpdesk/facilities management, ideally within a reactive maintenance or facilities background, who can handle pressure, motivate others, and always look for practical solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and motivate a team of 8 admin and helpdesk staff
  • Oversee workflow, prioritise jobs, and ensure SLA/KPI targets are met
  • Report directly to the Director, working closely with the Ops Manager
  • De-escalate arising client or job-related issues professionally
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and team accountability
  • Problem-solve quickly, finding practical solutions and removing barriers
  • Contribute to and oversee quoting, especially where follow-up from site visits is required
  • Maintain a professional, high-performing office culture
  • Support staff development and team communication.
