Helper (Construction)

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Helper to join our team. The Helper will work alongside the CCTV Operator and Flusher Operator, providing essential support in setting up equipment, managing hoses and cables, and assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of sewer and stormwater pipeline inspections and flushing activities. Membership in Liuna Local 183 is required, and non-members will need to join. At least two years of experience in construction or outdoor labor is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two years of experience in construction or performing outdoor labor, with a focus on equipment handling and team collaboration.
• Ability to work with various types of equipment, including hoses, cables, and CCTV systems.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and manage equipment and tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on job sites with potential exposure to debris and wastewater.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Membership in Liuna Local 183 required (non-members will need to join).

• Assist the CCTV Operator and Flusher Operator with the setup and breakdown of equipment, ensuring everything is in place before and after each job.
• Manage hoses, cables, and other necessary equipment during CCTV inspections and flushing operations.
• Help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the mobile CCTV suite and Vactor Combo Jetter/Vacuum Truck during inspections and flushing activities.
• Support the Flusher Operator by preparing equipment for flushing operations, including handling and positioning hoses.
• Assist with monitoring and managing the flow of water during flushing operations to maintain effective pressure.
• Keep work areas organized, ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are ready and accessible throughout the job.
• Maintain and secure equipment and supplies in the field and assist in keeping job sites clean and safe.
• Collaborate with the CCTV Operator and Flusher Operator to ensure smooth teamwork and communication on-site.
• Perform any additional tasks as required to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely completion of work.
