Description A Water Well Service Helper supports technicians in repairing, and maintaining water wells. This entry-level, physically demanding position involves operating tools, setting up equipment, loading trucks, and performing maintenance in outdoor environments. Key tasks include, but are not limited to, handling drill rods, digging mud pits, and maintaining site safety. Responsibilities Technician Support: Assists in assembling, positioning, and stabilizing pump hoist, loading trucks, a good knowlege of PVC fittings is a plus. Site Maintenance: Digs trenches for water line, shovels spoils, maintains site cleanliness, and loads/unloads tools and drop pipe. Picks up trash, keeps job site clean. Equipment Care: Performs routine maintenance on rigs and tools, retrieves lost equipment from bore holes, and ensures equipment is organized. Safety Compliance: Adheres to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and attending safety meetings. Installation Support: Assists in installing pumps, Tanks, water treatment, and diagnosing existing systems. Tools: Personal Tools required Working Conditions This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role in the field. Requires exposure to extreme noise, vibrations, and dirt. Long hours, including early mornings and late evenings with some Saturday work. Requirements Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads 90 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Driver’s License: A valid driver's license is required; a Class E must be clean and approved by our insurance for hire. Tools: Familiarity with hand tools and the ability to learn to operate forklifts and specialized drilling equipment. Traits: Motivated, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills.
