  JOB DETAILS      Position Title   Mechanical Helper  Location   Central Division (On-Site) Functionally Reports into  Superintendent  FLSA Status   Non-Exempt    JOB OBJECTIVE    The Mechanical Helper is responsible for assisting Drivers to execute work orders in a timely manner.    REQUIREMENTS   EXPERIENCE     * 1-2 years industrial experience . * You can stand for extended periods of time and can meet other physical demands of the job. * Performs Firewatch duties * Cleans work areas, tools, equipment, materials etc * Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies * Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick, rake, and shovel * Work with other workers in a cooperative manner * General labor work * You have a clear current state driver s license. * You pass a DISA medical test.  * Able to pass a DISA background check. * Able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold) when required and necessary. * Available to work weekends and nights when required and necessary. * Reliable Transportation KNOWLEDGE    * Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.  * Must be able to computer basic arithmetic functions.  * Must have reliable transportation.  * Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed.  * Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.  * Must follow all company and site rules and regulations.  * Prepare and clean-up work areas, including removing debris and storing tools.  * Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and work areas.  * Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in good working conditions.    PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & CAPABILITIES   * High level of intellectual ability.   * Shares expertise with others.   * Displays willingness to make decisions.   * Supports and explains reasoning for decisions.   * Makes timely decisions.   * Strong interpersonal skills.   * Contributes to building a positive team spirit.   * Changes approach or method to best fit the situation.   * Communicates changes effectively.   * Remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.   * Adapts to changes in work environment.   * Balances team and individual responsibilities.   * Uses time efficiently.  * Prioritizes and plans work activities.     EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS    * High School Diploma or Equivalent    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  * Employee will be required to adhere to enormous amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.   * Will talk and hear to communicate.   * Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.   * May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.   * Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.  * Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.  * Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.    U.S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Norrell Construction is required.  Norrell Construction, Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
