Description Position Overview The Stocker/Helper will be the person responsible to help the driver unload and stock merchandise following the proper safety guidelines on different job sites. This person must be able to lift weight, walk stairs while lifting material, be able to recognize inventory and be comfortable helping customers and coworkers to assure material is properly stocked and customer is satisfied. Requirements · Knowledge of safety procedures · Ability to write discrepancies on tickets · Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing · Ability to adhere to established material delivery guidelines · Capability of executing all tasks safely and efficiently · Excellent customer service ability · Must have own transportation to and from work · Bilingual – Spanish* Essential Job Functions Have full knowledge of inventory to assure correct material is received, loaded and unloaded Responding to and deal with customer communication by following ticket instructions - no incorrect material on deliveries Make sure correct material is loaded before leaving warehouse Maintain constant communication with the driver and loaders to avoid errors Help driver mark discrepancies on ticket and take back to Logistics Department before truck leaves warehouse Stock material following ticket instructions Help driver to turn in complete paperwork to Logistics Department Take proper safety tools and supplies to every jobsite delivery Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and driver to improve overall delivery service Attend monthly warehouse meetings to review opportunities for efficiency within the shipping and delivery process Be willing to help your driver and coworkers when time requires it Support driver checking tickets before leaving the warehouse, returning from job sites or vendor pick ups Communicate with Safety Manager when necessary Report work injuries the same day they occur Report absences in advance to supervisor to help coordinate daily deliveries Demonstrate a positive attitude to show customers their business is appreciated Other duties as assigned
