Description Position Overview · Role: Hematology/Oncology Physician · Primary Need: Full-time – St. Thomas, Virgin Islands · Reason for Opening: Growth + transition from rotational coverage. Need dedicated provider Compensation · Base Salary: ~$500K · Bonus: Significant upside, OTE $750-800k year 2 · Year 2+: o Profit sharing o Potential partnership track · Earnings Potential: o $750K–$800K+ (realistic after ramp) · Sign-On + Relocation: ~$25K (flexible for right candidate) Schedule / Structure · Clinic Days: o Currently: Mon–Wed (St. Thomas) o Infusion/Admin: Thurs–Fri · Future State: Potential to grow into 4–5 days/week · Hours: ~8:00 AM – 4:00 PM · Patient Volume: ~20–25/day · Flexibility: Open to alternative schedules (e.g., 2 weeks on/off for right candidate) Clinical Scope · Setting: Primarily outpatient · Duties: o Consults + follow-ups o Chemo management o Infusion oversight o Bone marrow biopsies (required) · Case Mix: o ~70% Oncology / 30% Hematology o Common cases: Breast, Prostate, some Melanoma · Hospital Work: o Minimal o No formal call o Occasional consults (non-urgent, flexible timing) Facility & Resources · Brand new cancer center (St. Thomas) · Full infusion center · Radiation oncology onsite (hospital-run) · In-house: o Lab/phlebotomy o Imaging · Strong support staff: o Oncology RN (lead/manager) o Additional RN + MA o Front desk/admin · APP Support: o 1 APP per site + 1 rotating Requirements Clear and active license Board certified in Hematology-Oncology DEA No residents but can be somewhat new in career.
Responsibilities
The physician will provide outpatient hematology and oncology care, including consultations, chemotherapy management, and infusion oversight. Duties also include performing bone marrow biopsies and managing occasional non-urgent hospital consults.
