Job Details Job Location: Hendricks Regional Health Center YMCA - Avon, IN 46123 Position Type: Part Time Job Category: Health and Wellness Benefits Include: Free YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Membership 20 Hours Per Week of Free Child Care Flexible Hours/ Scheduling Retirement Discounted Program Fees Professional Development FORMATS NEEDED: Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Attack and CORE GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Instructor III will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in aerobic and/or fitness classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members. Qualifications A high school diploma, or its equivalent, and 3-4 years’ experience is required. A minimum of 18 years of age. Knowledge of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles and fitness class leadership are required. Ability to successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography. Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

The Program Instructor III is responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision in aerobic and fitness classes. They must maintain a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
