JOB DESCRIPTION

The role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis team within the Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property directorate.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll be right at the heart of our financial operations. You’ll be responsible for managing our financial data, implementing and maintaining robust controls to ensure the accuracy of our reporting outputs. You’ll also be key in getting our standard finance reports and dashboards out on time, and preparing essential financial returns for our parent department. An important part of the role will also involve maintaining and updating our indirect cost allocation model each month, which is crucial for understanding the full costs of our various activities. Working together with your counterpart, you’ll ensure a seamless approach to our financial management, sharing knowledge and achieving shared objectives.
You’ll have a genuine opportunity to influence and improve how we report and model our data, especially as we’re embedding multi year forecasting and working to develop unit costs - two big objectives for the team. You’ll be actively contributing to these exciting developments, partnering with the team to enhance our financial insights and reporting.
Beyond those core responsibilities, we’re committed to helping you grow and develop your career with us. We’re looking for candidates who hold a level 4 professional accountancy qualification or higher. If you haven’t yet completed a full professional qualification (such as CIMA or ACCA), we’re committed to helping you achieve it.
As a contractual obligation, you’ll be required to complete your CIMA (or equivalent) qualification within an agreed timeframe, with our financial support. This includes course and exam fees, and paid time off for your studies. This commitment is a key part of your journey with us, ensuring you have the tools and expertise to succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS
