Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The HGV Driver will be responsible for operating company-owned vehicle to transport goods, equipment, and personnel between designated locations. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and excellent time management skills. The HGV Driver will prioritize safety, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Strong communication and customer service skills are also required to interact with clients and maintain a positive image for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company-owned vans to transport goods, equipment, and personnel between specified locations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
  • Load and unload cargo onto the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Perform regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the van.
  • Maintain a clean and organized van interior and exterior, including regular cleaning and routine maintenance.
  • Follow delivery and pickup instructions accurately, ensuring on-time and efficient service.
  • Communicate with clients, customers, and supervisors in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any concerns or issues that arise during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery/pickup logs.
  • Monitor and report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations to the appropriate authorities and company management.
  • Stay updated on traffic conditions, road closures, and alternative routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, such as loading/unloading shipments and organizing inventory, when required.
