Simon Gibson Transport Ltd are seeking to recruit a full time, permanent HGV 1 (CE) driver based at Eurocentral, Motherwell.
The main duties required for the role are to load and deliver bulk powder tanks in the UK.
There is a mix of both local and distance work, therefore nights out are a pre requisite.
There is good opportunity for both overtime and weekend working.
This role requires a valid CE Licence, driver CPC and digital driver card. Experience preferred but newly acquired licence holders will be considered. Full training will be given.
Your duties will involve reporting to the Transport team and to help maintain the efficiency of our logistics operations. Your core skills in vehicle operation and compliance with road safety regulations, along with your premium skills in route planning and time management, will be essential in meeting our organisational goals.

• Operate HGV Class 1 / C+E vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Transport goods over long & short distances, often involving overnight stays away from home.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to scheduled routes.
• Manage loading and unloading of tanker cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Communicate effectively with Planners regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  Pay rate:
  £130.09 / day - Guaranteed (10 hrs basic)
  £19.65 / hour - Overtime
  £5 / day - Meal allowance
  £25 / Night out allowance
  Bulk tanker experience preferred, but not essential as training will be given.
