We are currently looking to recruit experienced Class 1 drivers to work within our busy transport department in Wolverhampton, as part of a cold store operation. Working 50 hours over any 5 days out of 7, with varying start times to meet the requirements of our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous experience driving an HGV
· Relevant licence to drive an HGV.
· Valid driver CPC
· A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
· A keen attention to detail and work accuracy.
· Good verbal communication skills
· Flexibility
· Willingness to do nights away is essential.
· For insurance purposes you must be 25 years of age or older and have held a licence for a minimum of 2 years.

· Adhere to statutory regulations governing road haulage.
· Carry out daily vehicle checks and vehicle defect reporting.
· Keep vehicles clean (inside and out).
· Responsible for vehicles and loads.
· Checking Loading/Unloading.
· Reporting problems with deliveries.
· Responsible for obtaining signed receipts for deliveries and collections.
· Ensure maintenance of required load temperatures and load conditions.
· Ensure receipt of good pallets or PCV at delivery.
· Carry out security checks and ensure the security of vehicle and load.
· Carry out any other duties as laid down in the current issue of the ‘Driver’s Handbook’.
· Comply with company policies regarding ISO9002, BS7750, Health & Safety and Training.
