DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic team at Woodside Logistics. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely operating HGV Class 1 vehicles, carrying out multi-drop or trunking deliveries, and ensuring that all loads are securely fastened and comply with Health and Safety regulations. You’ll also conduct regular vehicle checks, complete paperwork accurately, and adhere to road transport regulations.
With a focus on professionalism, you’ll have the opportunity to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C + E) Licence.
  • Minimum 6 Months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
  • Good Knowledge of Jersey roads and Highway code.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends (if required).

Responsibilities
  • Operate (Artic)HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Carry out multi-drop or trunking deliveries as required.
  • Conduct vehicle checks and report any faults or issues.
  • Ensure all loads are secured and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including notes & collecting PODs when required at delivery point
  • Adhere to road transport regulations, including driver hours and Working Time Directive (WTD)
  • Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues.
