JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver and Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivery of our steelwork and materials to farms and to help load, assist with customers, stock control and general house keeping in the yard. This role requires a proactive approach to tasks, including operating machinery and assisting with deliveries. A background in agricultural deliveries, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is advantageous. At times you may be required to have night outs in the lorry due to some of the locations we deliver to.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of rural deliveries is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to operate machinery safely, with relevant training or certification preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and delivery drivers.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy items when necessary.

  Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
