OVERVIEW

We are seeking to expand our company and are opening a new branch within Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
We are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Moffett Delivery Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, unloading using a Moffett FLT.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Moffett Delivery Driver within and around Bedfordshire & Home Counties would be ideal.
  • Ability to drive various types of lorries, including flatbeds & curtain-side
  • Excellent driving record with a valid HGV driver’s license & Moffett Certificate or Forklift Certificate (can be converted to cover Moffett with training) to include full driver CPC, minimum of 2 years experience would be advantageous. Due to insurance requirement’s the minimum age is 30 yrs. Knowledge of Mission Zero / FORS Accreditation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical condition for loading and unloading cargo & assisting in warehouse when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Drive lorries to transport goods over short or long distances, there might be the possibility of an occasional night out, this would be due to business needs and exceptional circumstances.
  • Load and unload building materials
  • Follow traffic laws and regulations
  • Inspect lorries for mechanical issues and safety concerns, change bulbs ect.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs
  • Communicate with dispatchers and team members
