JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of loads.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid vocational driving licence (C+E or C) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in Multi drop work using a tail lift would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while minimising delays.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
