Description

You will be spend large amounts of time on customer premises, this also includes suppliers, either delivering or collecting from them. This will make you an ambassador for the company. You will be the principle contact for handling a range of customer specific tasks in front of other people. In such circumstances, you must always represent the company with professionalism, be well dressed and in the event of a problem you must advise the Transport Planner or Head Of Operations. This role consists of single drops as well as multi drops.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Adhere to company values and ethos of Communicate, Deliver, Care for every Customer, every day.
· Adopt a best practice culture on all aspects of Health & Safety, ensuring full compliance with policies and legislation
· Use HR Management System to request your holidays, sickness, absence, and appointments
· Ensure you are at your place of work on time and wearing the correct uniform and PPE provided
· Abide by all customer rules and standards when working on their site
· Perform an active role in support of both your own and company Continuous Improvement
· Work shift patterns and out of hours work when required
· Continuously work towards your KPIs

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· In conjunction with the RHA Company Driver Handbook adopt a best practice culture on all aspects of Health & Safety, ensuring full compliance with policies and legislation that are in place for your safety and the safety of others. Including drivers hours rules, break periods.
· Collecting goods from a collection point and ensuring that all customer orders are complete
· Packing the goods in the vehicle in an organised manner that remains safe and compliant
· Planning the shortest and best routes by taking factors like roadblocks and traffic into consideration
· Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time
· Doing regular maintenance checks on vehicles and informing management of any issues
· Driving in inclement weather such as snow
· Delivering products that are in good condition to clients
· Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
· Updating route, mileage and delivery logs as per the RHA Company Driver Handbook.
