We are recruiting Class 2 drivers to join our growing business in Doncaster. The successful candidates will hold a clean class 2 licence. Drivers will be delivering customer orders to their premises across the UK mainland.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial driving experience required
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of goods
    Work pattern: Working over a 48-hour week and includes overnight delivers.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Ensure goods are stored and transported in line with the safe systems at work and temperature control guidelines
  • Goods are left in a safe and agreed area
  • Complete debrief paperwork on return
  • Report any issues to the transport team as soon as possible
  • Photograph deliveries
  • Cover other driver routes if required
  • Carry out Vehicle inspections each day, reporting on the system via a mobile device
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and vehicle maintenance requirements
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
  • Ensure vehicle is kept in a good condition
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
  • Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods to specified destinations
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Other operational duties as required
