At McDermotts, we’re seeking a HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic team and to support our Transport & Logistics Division in Birmingham.

EDUCATION:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• CSCS card or equivalent
• Hold an HGV class 2 license
• Current valid CPC and Digit Card
• Proven experience as a Tipper lorry driver
• Good knowledge of site and road health and safety procedures
• Good knowledge of loading and unloading procedures and restraints

• Full driving licence

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide services to the project sites
• You will be delivering materials and equipment to all our building site safely on time

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE:

• Ability to work safely
• Ability to interact with customers & the general public
• A detailed understanding of Drivers Hours & the Working Time Directive, traffic laws & regulations
• Be able to conduct mandatory pre use, during and post checks & report any defects as applicable
• Adhere to delivery schedule & routes whilst adhering to a high level of professionalism & customer service
• Taking pride in company assets ensuring they are cleaned, maintained, roadworthy in accordance with both statutory requirements, company policy & procedures
• Completing necessary paperwork/documentation accurately, including waste & delivery notes
• Assist in loading, securing & unloading
• Adhere to company driving policy & procedures
