JOB TITLE: HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER & DECOMMISSIONING OPERATIVE

Location: Knutsford Depot
Position Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
Paid Hours: 9 hours per day / 45 hours per week
Pay: £13.00 per hour + £12 daily meal allowance
Requirements: Full Class 1 HGV Licence
Role Overview:
We are seeking a WS Specialist – Driver & Decommissioning Operative to join our team at the Knutsford depot. This permanent role is a combination of HGV driving and asset decommissioning work, offering hands-on responsibility within a fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move new and decommissioned vehicles as required across the depot and to external sites.
• Carry out vehicle decommissioning activities, including:
• Stripping of equipment and assets
• Washing and valeting using approved industrial chemicals
• Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.

Additional Information:

• PPE and full training will be provided.
• Weekend overtime may be required depending on operational demands.

REQUIREMENTS

• HGV Class 1
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with flatbed experience.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
