TP Niven is a 3 generation family owned business with depots in Lockerbie, Palnackie, Mauchline, Stranraer, Campbeltown and Somerset.
Due to our continued success and growth we are on the lookout for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team.
Work will mainly involve trunking or farm collection. We have a good mixture of start times to suit most preferences. No overnight stops required unless you apply specifically for a tramping job (of which we only have a small number). We have a modern, well maintained fleet with our own in-house maintenance team.
You will be required to pass a driving assessment, and if working in farm collection you will undertake additional training (normally 2-3 weeks). You must be health and safety aware, able and willing to follow company procedures and adhere to driving rules and regulations.
You will already hold your CPC and Class 1 license with no more than 6 ‘live’ points and no endorsements for DD/DR offence codes. You must be reliable, and ideally you will have previous experience in haulage or milk farm collection but training will be provided. As a representative of TP Niven in regular contact with our customers you must display a professional attitude at all times. Whilst a majority of the role will be lone working you will be required to engage positively with our customers and office team and have good communication skills.
