You will be responsible for:

• Drive Heavy Goods Vehicle from depot to loading/unloading point in accordance with the delivery schedule
• Delivering chill, produce and ambient products to all our customers’ premises
• Accurately recording all activities in line with legislation and company requirements
• Ensuring all delivery notes are signed upon delivery
• Adhere to road transport regulations
• Working within the remits of the European Drivers Hours regulations
• Working within the remits of the Working Time Directive
• Ensuring all loads are strapped down adequately
• Checking tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle
• Agree delivery schedule and route with transport management
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensures that load is evenly distributed and safely secured
• Maintains records of journey times, mileage and hours worked via Tachograph
• Undertake minor repairs and notifies supervisor of any mechanical faults

About you

• Full HGV Class 1 Licence
• Valid Taco Card
• Valid CPC Card
• Must be 25 years+
• Good English verbal and written skills
• Excellent customer service skills
