JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and skilled class 1 HGV Driver to join our family business. Driving with flat Bed , curtain sider and tanker. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. As a Driver, you will be responsible for, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service. This is a diverse role with varied work.

Duties .

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required, along with a clean driving record.
