JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be capable of diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A valid C+E licence
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous.

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Repair and maintain vehicles within and above operator licensing requirements
• Attend out of hours breakdowns when required
• Be present at the yard on Monday morning to deal with any defects, issues and breakdowns.
