An opportunity at Maxim Logistics has arisen for a HGV Mechanic. Based at our Head Office in Corby, you will be part of an established Transport Team at the UK’s leading food ingredient logistics service provider.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years’ experience in the maintenance & repair of LGV vehicles & trailers.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest VOSA roadworthiness requirements.
• Ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise workload.
• Good communicator & team player.
• Pragmatic and flexible approach to work.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Our HGV Mechanic plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Maxim fleet is maintained to the high standards the operation demands. You will oversee our fleet of main dealer-maintained HGV’s and inspect and maintain a fleet of 100 trailers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the Maxim fleet of vans, HGV vehicles and trailers are maintained to the required standards.
• Coordinate with the Fleet Administrator [AL1] to ensure all trailers and vehicles are serviced and repaired in line with operational use needs.
• Liaise with other service providers to ensure optimum service / cost & timeliness requirements are met.
• Ensure the safe keeping and operational use of all workshop inventory.
• To assist with planned internal & external audits.
• Keep up to date with all new technology and legal standard changes in relation to the servicing and repairing of vehicles and trailers.
