JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our modern fleet of vehicles and trailers.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
• Familiarity with various mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not mandatory.
• A valid driving licence.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using latest JAL Test diagnostic tools. Work with brake rollers and truck lifts.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills.
