SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving flatbed vehicles.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Skip lorries and ensure compliance with all traffic regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
  • Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while adhering to schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle both inside and out.
