HGV TECHNICIAN / HGV MECHANIC

Location: Bristol
Overtime rate - 1.5X and double time rates
Shift: DAY SHIFT (Monday to Friday) No weekend working - No working past 6pm is required
We are seeking a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic for a fantastic fleet business in Bristol. The role operates from 5am to 2:30pm and 8:30am to 6pm.
There is a significant amount of progression available with this business with a clear pathway to an “off the tools” management position in time. There is also ongoing training and development to stay up to date with the latest industry trends.

Duties:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on various HGV/Trailers.
  • Use your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used, maintaining thorough documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ Level 3, equivalent or time served
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
  • Strong problem-solving skills
