HGV TECHNICIAN

We are working with a reputable commercial vehicle workshop currently seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.
Shift Pattern: 6 AM - 2:30 PM or 12 - 8:30 PM and every other Saturday AM
Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain safe working practices; carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards; handle all vehicles carefully and take necessary precautions on-site; diagnose and rectify a variety of mechanical and electrical faults; maintain up-to-date product knowledge and attend required training courses; liaise with the parts department to obtain necessary parts; ensure accurate clocking and timely completion of job cards and service sheets; attend roadside breakdowns or customer sites when needed; maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workshop.
Requirements: Current UK driving licence; IRTEC accreditation (or willingness to obtain); City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent technical qualification or proven experience maintaining and repairing vehicles; HGV and/or PSV licence preferred; prior experience in a commercial workshop environment.
