? Key Responsibilities 1. Maintenance & Repairs Diagnose faults on construction and plant equipment Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance Ensure machines meet safety and performance standards ? Equipment may include brands like Komatsu, Atlas Copco, JLG, etc. 2. Field Service Work Travel to customer sites to repair breakdowns Respond quickly to urgent faults (downtime = cost for clients) Provide on-site technical support 3. Diagnostics & Technical Work Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics Use diagnostic tools/software Identify root causes of equipment failures 4. Customer Support Communicate with customers about faults and repairs Advise on equipment use and maintenance Maintain professional service standards 5. Documentation & Reporting Complete service reports and job sheets Support warranty claims with evidence (photos, parts, reports) Record parts used and work completed 6. Team & Department Coordination Work with: Parts department (ordering components) Service managers and workshop schedulers Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time ? Skills & Requirements Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Heavy plant machinery Hydraulics & electrics Diesel engines Ability to troubleshoot faults independently Experience Experience in one of the following is usually preferred: Construction equipment Agricultural machinery Commercial vehicles or forklifts Soft Skills Problem-solving ability Good communication with customers Ability to work independently (especially field roles) Time management and organisation
