JOB SUMMARY:

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and enhancing the performance of our vehicles. You will work a 45 hour week. Late shift. 12:00-22:00. Monday to Friday. Weekends optional.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driving license (HGV preferred).

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct engine repairs, gearbox repairs, and other complex tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve workshop efficiency.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
• Must have own tools.
