HGV TECHNICIAN / HGV MECHANIC

Location: Peterborough
Rate: Up to £23.15 per hour

Hours: 2 shift patterns available

• 4 on 4 off nights
• Monday to Friday day shift (Alternate Saturday mornings paid at overtime)

Our client is an independent vehicle workshop providing servicing and repairs for a wide range of vehicles, including HGVs, Trailers and LCV. They’ve had no technician turnover in the past 18 months, which shows how much they value and support their team. These roles have opened up due to an increase in workload, as the business continues to grow and take on more projects

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or time-served experience)
• Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety

As a HGV Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs and Trailers
• Routine servicing, maintenance, and MOT preparation
• Working to manufacturer standards with a focus on quality and safety
• Using diagnostic equipment and keeping your technical knowledge up to date
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
